Sued Microsoft, Motorola Android Device 18 Blocked


Microsoft won a patent infringement lawsuit against software Motorola Mobility in the United States. On Wednesday (18/7/2012), the U.S. International Trade Commission issued an order banning the importation of 18 product smartphones and Android-based tablet from Motorola.


18th product inadmissible AS it covers, Motorola Atrix, Backflip, Bravo, Charm, Cliq, Cliq, Cliq XT 2, Defy, Devour, Droid 2, Droid 2 Global, Droid Pro, Droid X, Droid X, Flipout, Flipside, Spice, and Xoom.


All the above products are considered to be in violation of technology Exchange Active Sync from Microsoft. Microsoft Deputy General Counsel David Howard says, this case brought to court because Motorola stop paying license intellectual property of Microsoft products.


"It is quite a pity we take legal action, but this is a solution in order to pay our Motorola patent license as many other Android manufacturers have done it," said Howard.


However, the Motorola will continue to sell the product claims to be its flagship in the United States. "Motorola has taken proactive steps to ensure that the product of his smartphone will be available for consumers in the u.s.," according to the contents of the statement of Motorola.


Up to now not known whether Motorola, which has now officially owned by Google, was planning to pay patent license the software to Microsoft or even remove features patented product on the 18th.
