Intel to take Android devices Atom Jelly Bean
Intel was trying to infuse the Android operating system 4.1 or Jelly Bean to be used in smartphone and tablet with Atom processor.
The company did not specify when it would be completed as well as porting the time availability of the Jelly Bean in devices with Intel processors.
"Intel is collaborating closely with Google in providing the latest versions of Android, including Jelly Bean, on Atom product line, our low-power," said Intel spokeswoman Suzy Greenberg, as quoted by PC World.
Intel processor-based Smartphone using the Android operating system 2.3 (Gingerbread), and will receive an upgrade to the Android operating system 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwiches in the near future is yet to be determined.
Intel processors among others spoken by Lenovo and homemade Orange smartphone. Lenovo released an Intel-based smartphones in China with a modified version of Android while one other manufacturer, LG, smartphone and tablet is expected to be released with the Intel processors this year.
So far, Intel has not been much felt presence in smartphones and tablet market dominated by ARM. The first Tablet comes with Android 2.1 Google Nexus 7 which is using ARM processors (Tegra 3).
Other manufacturers licensed the ARM processor for their products such as Asus and HTC will soon be released Android update 4.1 in over-the-water.
Intel uses the Android operating system in the smartphone and tablet with Atom processor "Medfield" construction. The future generation of Atom processors, "Clover Trail," targeted only for devices Windows 8.
Intel does not provide port Android operating system for tablet-based Clover Trail. In the meantime, Microsoft has announced Windows 8 RT variant for ARM-based devices.
ARM has so far remained a step ahead of its competitors in terms of the number of devices that come with Android 2.1.
However, Intel was trying to attract developers to write applications for the Android-based processor products.One of these ways is to give dangle prizes to developers who create games for smartphone and tablet Intel.
