HP Back Rename Palm OS

A year after HP acquired and changed its name to webOS Global Business Unit (GBU) under that company, Palm back changes. This time in the form of brand names to be reincarnated "Grams".


Focus effort also changed from consumer devices become "software, user experience (UX), cloud, engineering, and partnership".


WebOS GBU is a business unit under HP, but Grams will be made into a separate company, it is still wholly owned by HP but leaning looking for investment from outside.


It remains unclear what products will be made by this company. About it, HP's Chief of Staff Martin told his employees to Worry shut up about the products that will be offered by the Gram.


Palm has been a manufacturer of personal digital assistant devices (PDAs) are known through leading products such as Palm Pilot and Palm Treo. webOS is the name of the operating system the device is designed to replace the previous version, the Palm OS.


The company was acquired by HP in 2010. Mid-2011, HP stopped producing all webOS based hardware, including smartphones and tablets.
